ISBA6 – Basel – 2014

I’m here with the DEAD Lab team from Durham at the 2014 ISBA conference.

Some amazing work is going on with regards to next generation DNA sequencing and isotopes.

The University of Tübingen and Copenhagen seem to have many budding archaeological scientists in their midst.

Some excellent talks, in particular I have enjoyed seeing the work being done on ancient horse genomics, extinct insectivores in the Caribbean, shotgun metagenomics of unidentifiable bone fragments, and human disease barcoding techniques.
